About Bill Kinsey
Bill Kinsey's career has included serving as Artist, Graphic Designer, and Art Director with major corporations and
advertising agencies in Richmond, Virginia.
Bill’s artwork is in many private and corporate collections in the U.S. and
abroad. His pieces have been exhibited in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Watercolor Exhibitions, New England
Fine Arts Institute in Boston, The Virginia Watercolor Society Exhibitions,
and numerous Central Virginia art shows where his work has received several awards and honors. Bill is a
"signature member" of both The Virginia Watercolor Society (VWS) and The Baltimore
Watercolor Society (BWS).
He earned a BFA in Art
from Richmond Professional Institute (now Virginia Commonwealth University) and has also studied with many
nationally known artists.
Bill works predominantly in watercolor, collage, and mixed
media but also enjoys printmaking, oil, and oil pastel. His artistic inspirations come from the Impressionists as well
as the Old Masters. A central theme in many of Bill's paintings is people
enjoying life and just being themselves.
Bill has studio space at 1305 W. Main Street in
Richmond, VA, inside Uptown Gallery.
